OVERVIEW OF CURRENT PROGRAMS
Working together with individual tribes, we have developed a planning process affording them maximum self-determination in prioritizing their housing needs, and deciding on the type of assistance that best addresses those needs. These priorities, combined into a unified Indian Housing Plan (IHP), constitute the IRHA work program.
IRHA strives to provide housing programs that will assist as many low to moderate income Native Americans in the Interior of Alaska as possible. Through a partnership with Tribes that have chosen IRHA as their designated housing authority, it is our mission to encourage self-sufficiency and enable those we serve to realize the American Dream of Homeownership. The following is a brief explanation of the current programs available to those who qualify. |
